Category: Monster Hunter Frontier

Some new footage of Deyuragua has screened on the net. On it you can see all attacks of the new beast and get an impression on how this fella will try to strike you down. Beside the newcomer there will also be plenty of new stuff, like a new status, the “frostbite”, that will occur when a hunter is injured by Deyuragua while in rage-mode. Also gunlancers have reason to cheer. There is now a “new wyvern fire”. You can get a glimpse of it in the trailer below. MHFO 8.0 really promises to make the series even more awesome than it already is.

Capcom has released some new Screenshots from the upcoming (21.4.10) Monster Hunter Frontier 8.0. The game will include one new pseudo-wyvern named Deyuragua. I don’t really like the design of it though, it kind of looks like a monster from Phantasy Star Online. Appearently they have also added a new attack for the gunlannce which looks like smaller wyvern-fire.

Unfortunately the game isn’t going to be released isn’t going to be released anywhere but in Japan and Korea.

Here some new (well… new for the 360) screenshots of the upcoming Monster Hunter Frontier for the xbox 360. Remember though: The game hasn’t been announced for America or Europe yet.

Awesome news for Monster Hunter fans with an x360. As announced by Capcom, Monster Hunter Frontier [360] will hit the Japanese market on 24th june. The game will cost 6090 ¥ and include one month of free playing time, a 1-month xbox live gold memembershi and 13 bonus in game items. A special MHFO USB-Keyboard will be released on the same day for 1000 ¥. A release for America/ Europe hasn’t been confirmed yet.

As if this weren’t enough there is also a new Monster to be found in the game, Dyuragaua, which pretty much looks like a dressed up Nargacuga  . The ice-element Wyvern is supposed to be pretty tough but so far no more information has been revealed.

Check out the latest screenshots and gameplay-vids.

A lot of things, very awesome things, have happened during my hiatus from blogging. First of all Monster Hunter 3 was scheduled to be released on 23rd April, which is only like two more months of waiting. Moreover Gamestop might get some Promo-Demo-Discs in March already, so that is pretty wicked to start with. Also Microsofts console is gonna get its first MH-Port: Monster Hunter Frontier Online! No one was really expecting this when Microsoft made its announcement a couple of weeks back. It took many by surprise that the game will appear on x360, even though the work on MH3 for PS3 was already in full progress when capcom decided that the production-costs on Sony’s console were just too high to create the game for it. However the title, as it is, will only be released in Asia and, depending on the sales there, might also hit the western market next year – Anyway, back to MH3.

As announced by Nintendo & Capcom, the game will NOT have any monthly fees which means you can keep your Wii-points for other stuff. Also both voice-chat (via Wii Speak) and keyboard are supported in the game, similar as in Sony’s Ad-Hoc Party. The first couple of videos look amazing Even though a lot has been changed and there are not nearly as many monsters or weapons as in MHFU, it looks like a whole lot of fun. There have also been rumors about DLC (Downloadable Content), which would be what most hunters were looking for ever since the game first got released in 2004. Even though capcom has officially stated that it is very likely that DLC will be available, there weren’t any hints if it would be constrained to bonus-missions or new weapons, armor or even monsters. Moreover Capcom has finally opened the gates to the guild. Also the first two english promo-video have popped up on youtube. It’s unclear if they’ll also be used as TV-ads, still they’re pretty awesome. Check them out:

However there is even more awesome coming up.  Rafael-Izoshy on Deviantart has started a pretty amazing Monster Hunter comic. Only the first two chapters are out, still you should give it a look. (Click on the Pic to see the whole comic)

Monster Hunter Frontier [PC] celebrates its second anniversary, congratulations! That said, how could capcom keep this game from western players for 2 years O_o ?! I curse you Capcom >___< !!!

For everyone who lives on the moon, in a dark cave with his ears plugged and his eyes shut: Monster Hunter Frontier is the PC-version of Capcoms hunting-game. If i count right, the game includes 4 new monsters that none of the PSP-games have (meaning it has hundreds of new weapons and gear-parts). The game is very popular in Japan and Korea.
