Rajang_vOut of all Ape-like monsters you will meet in the game, Rajang is probably the strongest. His movements are pretty random and he can attack in pretty much every direction, which makes it hard to find openings. However there is some advice that can be given. Rajang has two forms, the first one being dark-fured, the second one being the golden form (Super Sayan). If you want to prevent Rajang from going into his golden form, you can do so by simply cutting off the tip of his tail. However that is easier said than done.

You should attack Rajang from the side as he has the least attacking potential from there. Longsword-users should mainly use 2-hit-combos and then evade as Rajangs counters are quick and fatal. Shock traps and flashbombs are only useful to a certain degree with this monster.
